NASA has created a 3D simulation of the Curiosity’s flight path, allowing you to see a virtual representation of the rover as it travels to Mars. The rover’s location can be viewed in real-time or you fast forward to see the “Seven Minutes of Terror” leading up to its landing. With just hours until the Curiosity is expected to land on Earth’s neighbor, the simulation should be just the thing to push your excitement to the next level. To witness the historical event as it happens, video streams can be viewed through NASA TV, Wired Science, and the Xbox 360. If you want to share the experience with others, you can check it out at Times Square in New York City or at The Exploratorium in San Francisco.
