The Maingear Solo 21 all-in-one desktop has been redesigned, coupling support for Intel’s third-generation Ivy Bridge processors with a fresh new look. The update tosses out its predecessor’s easel-like stand in favor of an L-shape reminiscent of Apple’s iMac. The Solo 21 is notably one of a few all-in-ones to offer an upgrade-friendly chassis — you’ll be able to swap out all of the components yourself, including the mini-ITX motherboard. Alas, there are no discrete GPU options, so you’re still stuck with Intel’s integrated graphics.

Barring support for Intel’s Ivy Bridge CPUs, the 21.5-inch Solo 21’s hardware remains largely unchanged. The $ 899 base model is powered by a 3.3GHz Intel Core i3-2125 processor and 4GB of RAM, and offers…
