The space shuttle Endeavor has already made a remarkable trip from its home in Cape Canaveral, and The Los Angeles Times has detailed the last leg of its journey from LAX to its final resting place at the California Science Center. In preparation for the 85-ton, five-story tall space shuttle’s twelve-mile trek, more than 200 streetlights have been removed, 393 trees have been cut down, and nearly 2,700 large steel plates have been installed to reinforce the route.
