Valve announces 13 Steam Machine partners, including Alienware

There will be plenty of ways to get Steam OS when the operating system is finally ready to ship: Valve announced today that 13 partners are already developing Steam Machine hardware. Partners include Alienware, Falcon Northwest, and iBuyPower among other custom PC makers. There’s no word on when the machines will hit the market, and Valve says that it’ll defer to the machine’s makers as to when they want to put them on sale. Materiel.net, Alternate, Next, CyberPowerPC, Origin, Digital Storm, Scan Computers, Webhallen, Gigabyte, and Zotac are Valve’s other partners.
