The Lonely Island will star in a musical Judd Apatow movie

The Loney Island are moving from digital shorts to feature film. Deadline reports that Universal is backing a new Lonely Island movie, which will star the hitmaking comedy group’s Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone. Judd Apatow is producing the film, which will reportedly be “set in the world of music,” and Taccone and Schaffer will co-direct it. There’s no telling whether the film will include previous hits, such as “Lazy Sunday” and “Dick In A Box,” or whether the soundtrack will consist of all-new material.
