Miniature dioramas by Akihiro Morohoshi

RIMG00101

Akihiro Morohoshi enjoys creating miniature models, but he doesn’t do it the traditional way. The Japanese artist creates miniature worlds on surprising everyday object, like Pringles boxes or guitars. Every detail in the tiny sculpture is perfectly executed. You can discover more on the artist’s website.

SEKAI: miniature ecosystems on the back of animals

sekai-image8

Maico Akiba, an artist from Japan, is more famous for the “100 years later” project, a series of objects painted to look like a hundred years old.

However, the project that caught my attention is “SEKAI“, which means “World” in Japanese. In this art project, the artist adds miniature ecosystems on the back of animal toys, a reminiscence of Noah’s ark in which animals carry on the world on their back.

The designs are incredibly details and execution is nearly perfect. The animals were also released as small keyholder toys, but it lost a lot of details.
